AVMA provides medical assessments and clinical opinions to assist veterans who require medical information for their DVA disability claims. The service includes:

✅ Preparation of medical reports with clinical reasoning

✅ Clarification of medical questions for advocates

2. Not an Advocacy Service

AVMA does not act as an advocate, representative, or claims manager for veterans.
AVMA does not prepare, submit, argue, or manage claims on behalf of veterans.
All claim decisions remain the responsibility of the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA).

3. Compliance with DVA Policies

All work completed by AVMA is done in accordance with current DVA policies and guidelines.
Reports are written objectively, professionally, and without bias.
No promises or guarantees are made regarding claim outcomes.

4. Relationship With Your GP

AVMA does not replace your GP.
The service is intended as an alternative medical assessment option when a GP is unable or unwilling to complete DVA paperwork.

5. Fees and Billing

The medical assessment service is free for veterans.
AVMA does not bill DVA for advocate enquiries or general medical questions.

6. Privacy and Confidentiality

All medical information is handled in accordance with Australian privacy laws.
Your information will only be used for assessment purposes or when required by law.

7. Limitations of Responsibility

AVMA cannot guarantee DVA claim approval or specific outcomes.
Veterans are responsible for submitting their own claims and paperwork unless supported by an advocate or authorised representative.
